Privacy notice

When you request a booking, Shadz Automotive receives the contact details, registration plate, vehicle information, preferred date and time, and notes you provide.

How we use your details

If you open this notice from an unfinished booking request, the website keeps a draft in that tab's browser history so Back can restore your details. The draft is not sent to Shadz. Drafts older than 30 minutes are not restored.

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, discuss the work your vehicle needs, and arrange your visit. Sending a request does not confirm an appointment. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in your notes.

Email and website services

When you apply for a job, we receive your name, email, phone number, AVI authority status, message and any PDF CV you attach. Shadz uses these details to review your application and contact you about the role. Please do not include identity documents or sensitive personal information. Applications and CVs are emailed to the workshop through Resend; CVs are not published on the website.

Your request is sent to the workshop by our email delivery provider, Resend. Website hosting and email providers process information to operate these services and may process it outside New Zealand. The website also applies technical controls to reduce spam and duplicate requests.

The contact section includes Google Maps. Google receives technical information such as your IP address when the map loads. Fonts are served by this website, without a separate request from your browser to Google Fonts.

Website analytics

When Resend accepts a booking or job application notification, our server records the corresponding success count separately in Google Analytics. This can work even when the browser analytics script is unavailable. Where available, we use the existing Analytics client and session identifiers to associate the count with a website visit; otherwise we use a request-specific anonymous identifier. Names, contact details, registration plates, notes, AVI status, messages and CVs are not sent to Analytics. A private receipt ledger helps prevent duplicate counts.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and improve the website. It may collect page views, phone and email link taps, successful booking and job application counts, browser and device information, approximate location, referring websites and cookie identifiers. We do not configure Analytics to collect the values entered into booking or application form fields. Google may process analytics data outside New Zealand. Analytics is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

Google Maps and reviews

When this page loads, we request customer reviews from Google Maps if our usage allowance is available. Reviewer profile images load from Google when displayed. We do not save review text in our database; we store only request counts to control usage. Google services are subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Google Maps Terms of Service.
