What does a WOF inspection check?
A Warrant of Fitness checks whether your vehicle meets the required safety standards at the time of inspection. It covers items such as tyres, brakes, lights, seatbelts, steering, suspension and the condition of the vehicle’s structure.
A WOF is different from a service or a pre-purchase inspection. It does not assess the overall condition of the engine, clutch or gearbox, or replace routine oil changes and maintenance.
Before you bring your car in
Check the expiry date on your WOF label and request a visit before it is due. Simple checks of your lights, wipers and tyres can help you notice issues to mention to the inspector; they do not replace the inspection.
If you have a previous inspection sheet or details of work already identified, have those ready to discuss. Tell us about any vehicle modifications or safety concerns when you contact the workshop.
What to tell us when you book
Send your registration plate and preferred date and arrival time. The online form sends a request, and the Shadz team will contact you to confirm the appointment.
If you have noticed a warning light, an unfamiliar sound or another concern, include it in the notes. You can also call the workshop to talk through the work you need.
Need work after the inspection?
If your vehicle does not pass, use the inspection findings to discuss the repairs and reinspection with the workshop. Ask which items need attention and what the next visit involves.
Shadz also handles mechanical repairs and scheduled servicing at the same Cloverlea workshop. Mention any additional work in your request so the team can discuss the scope and appointment time with you.

How much will my WOF cost and how long will it take?
Call 022 170 1975 for the current inspection price and to discuss the time needed for your vehicle. The team will confirm availability before your appointment.
Can I request a Saturday WOF?
We’re closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Choose a weekday for your WOF request; the team will confirm availability.
Does sending the form confirm my WOF appointment?
No. Your chosen time is a preference until Shadz contacts you to confirm it.
